Report Prepared by: David Farina

Morgan is a fearless center midfielder, who is not afraid to go into hard tackles with purpose and quality decision making ability. He has a strong right foot and a good shot from distance, his ability shows both power and accuracy. His distribution is intelligent and he reads the attacking play with understanding that can only come from years of experience playing the game. St. Augustine Florida is a prime place for youth development, surrounded by many quality youth clubs and produces great players due to year round involvement in the game.

Morgan has a good pace however his break out speed needs work. I feel midfield is an excellent choice for him however his aggressiveness combined with sprint training coaches could make him an even more versatile player at right back.

Ball Control: Good foot skills and a decent first touch, great distribution ability to set up an effective attack.

Dribbling: Good control and has been playing and practicing long enough to be able to create space for effective distribution.

Attacking Ability: Makes very effective runs and has a great strike from distance.

Defending: He is an aggressive player and has a good work ethic in order to win the ball back.

Heading: Displays ability to correctly change ball direction.

Tackling: As stated above he is aggressive yet smart with his tackles. He does not shy away from the ball and uses his physical attributes wisely.

Summary Assessment

Morgan will be an asset to any collegiate program from NAIA to D2. His academics combined with his athletic ability prove that he can succeed at the college level. Being a dual sport athlete gives him the advantage to physically use his body to dominate the area without fear. He has been playing soccer for many years and understands the game, concepts and rhythm in order to be an effective player. I strongly recommend him to any program looking for a midfielder that could be versatile in various formations.

Dear Coach:

I am excited to be writing you this letter of interest.  I am a senior, multi-sport athlete at St. Augustine High School in St. Augustine, FL, Described by my coaches and teammates as a hardworking, high achieving student-athlete excelling in advanced placement classes and currently maintaining a 3.57 GPA, I am eager to take my talents onto the next level of play.

My athletic career began early on in competitive youth leagues for soccer, basketball and football.  In high school I have been a four-year starter and letter winner on the varsity soccer team as a versatile threat at every field position.  Since our high school soccer season is winter, I have spent my last three years as a valued asset to our football team in my role as placekicker/punter.  I have been the varsity starter since my sophomore year having recently been recognized as player of the week.  During the winter athletic season I will begin my fourth year on the varsity soccer team and will also be competing in my third varsity year of competitive weightlifting.

Recent graduates of the St. Augustine soccer program have been recruited to competitive collegiate programs and have been very successful as starters on their new teams.  Our north Florida region is rich in developmental youth soccer programs that have helped best prepare me for a strong future playing the game I love.

Participating in intercollegiate athletics has been a life-long goal.  I am motivated to make this dream come true and look forward to speaking with you soon to discuss your program and bringing my talents and work ethic to your team.

Thank you,

Morgan A. Sefcik
