Christian T Allen 2016 C/1st/OF
My name is Christian Allen. I am currently 17 years old and live in Orcutt, California. I am a scholar athlete with an average GPA of 4.0. I believe my athletic abilities are above average. My greatest attributes are my academic pedigree, athletic ability, and most importantly my community involvement. I have over 300 hours of community service work.
I have achieved these feats by staying true to the ideals of working hard and chasing a goal. The best way to describe my reasons for working is knowing that no one else can put me where only I can see myself going. What sets me apart is my drive and old school upbringing which has been lost in these modernizing times.
My GPA consists of many AP and Honors classes. I have received the AP Scholar Award for passing three AP tests which is no easy task. I also have challenged myself by balancing the grades with my involvement in The National Honors Society and California Scholarship Federation. Both organizations require academic excellence and community service work.
While juggling my academic schedule have also decided to take baseball as a serious goal that I will complete. This has led me to a national scout team for the Tampa Bay Ray called the Team Avenue Aces. Being blessed with a set of skills led me to playing in several states such as Alaska where we represented the state of California and took first place in the Alaska Airlines tournament. We were also invited to national tournaments in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Cuba and Europe. While on the team I became rated 28th best catcher in the state of California by Field Level and was named Santa Barbara County’s All Area Catcher, Team One, of the Year by unanimous decision. As a result, I was invited and sponsored to attend a four day event at Stanford University. This was an amazing experience that rounded out my summer.
I plan to play baseball as far as it will take me and use the game for as long as possible. As for academics, I would like to either get my law degree with a concentration in business. I plan to be a Sports’ Agent or a Jag lawyer for the military. I chose these career paths because I want to either be around the game for as long as possible or to able to represent the military in the fairest way. I want to make a contribution to our country.
