  • Has very nice three point shot
  • Smart team player
  • Good size and length
  • Knows where to be on the court on both offense and defense

It shows that Collin has been well coached. He knows where to be on the court and is usually in good position offensively and defensively. He has a very nice shot with a quick release and seems be able to knock down the three even when contested. He has all the physical tools to be successful at the shooting guard position at the next level however his athleticism will keep him from playing at the highest level in college. Collin is valuable because of his ability to stretch the floor but will need to develop a short to midrange game. Outside of shooting the three well, one of his biggest attributes is that being a long 6’3 guard, he can rebound the ball.

With Collins size he can put a lot of pressure on the defense if he can penetrate. It will also free him up for more less contested shots, which is his forte. Collin is a smart player and a very good shooter. He will be an asset to any school with a need for a consistent shooter.

Dear Coaches,

My name is Collin Faucette and I am #5 on the Voyager Academy High School basketball team. I am 6 feet 3 inches tall and I weigh 165 lbs. I am a junior and graduate in the class of 2016. I maintain a 3.6 GPA in the classroom and I scored an 18 on the ACT. I have not taken the SAT but plan on taking that soon in the future.  My hard work and scoring capability has given me the privilege of being a starter this year on varsity for Voyager Academy playing as a shooting guard. We had a successful season this year finishing with a record of 29-3 and an undefeated 16-0 record in the conference. We made it to the 4th round of the state playoffs and suffered a tough overtime loss that ended our season but we hope to make a deeper run in the playoffs next year. My role on the team is to play hard, be a team player, and score the basketball. I play hard on both sides of the floor, to do my part and make my team successful. I have a lot of talented teammates on my team so it is my job as a guard to share the ball and give them the right pass in their best fit to score the ball. One of my greatest strengths as a basketball player is my ability to score the basketball. I like to shoot the ball outside the arc to stretch out the defense but I can also use my height to attack the paint and drive to the rim. I give my best in everything I do and try to leave everything I have out there on the court when I am playing. I hope you will take into great consideration in selecting me to be the newest member of your program. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
