My name is Danny Mannix. I attend Drummond High School in Drummond, MT. I am a 6’, 170 pound receiver/ linebacker (I also play running back and safety). I have started on the Varsity football team since my freshman year. I have received an All-Conference selection every year i have started and i have also received Academic All-State every year. My highest selection was being named to the All-State team my sophomore year as a running back and my junior year as a linebacker and running back. I expect to receive All-Conference, Academic All-State and All-State my senior year. In my football career so far my team has reached the playoffs every year and my sophomore year we made it to the State semi-finals. Last year my junior year I rushed for 467 yards on 95 carries averaging 4.9 yards per carry and 13 touchdowns. I caught 56 passes for 662 yards averaging 11.8 yards per catch and 6 touchdowns. Also i returned kicks and punts gaining 416 yards and 124 yards, respectively. In total, for my Junior year i had 1669 all purpose yards averaging 185 yards per game. On defense, I recorded 110 total tackles leading my team. Going into my senior year I expect to excel much like i did last year. This year my school has co-oped with Phillipsburg and our new co-op name is Flint Creek Titans. I have a max bench of 190 pounds, a max squat of 375, and a 30” vertical. I haven’t been timed in the 40 but my 100m time is 11.67 so that should give you an idea of my speed.
I have maintained a 4.0 gpa through high-school and stayed at the top of my class while taking core classes. I got a 23 on the ACT (20 in English, 26 in Math, 24 in reading, 22, in Science, and an 8 on the writing section). I take pride in my schoolwork and place it before sports.
Outside school I am going into my tenth year in my local 4-H club. In those years I developed values that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. In college, I tentatively plan to enter pre-physical therapy for a degree but that is not set in stone it is just the route I plan on taking at the moment. I look forward to continuing football at the next level.
